The Nexus S already has it and the rumor is so will the iPhone 5. What is it? Near Field Communication or NFC. Basically the ability to scan objects at a close range. You can scan NFC enabled posters, QR Codes and even pay for items at stores that have Paypass terminals.
This technology is already happening and being used widely in parts of Europe and Japan.
The question is: Are you ready for it as a business owner? If Google and Apple are betting on it, you may want to pay attention.
